Velma, My Second Hitty

My second attempt at carvng a hitty doll was much better than my first.

This time I did not try painting my Hitty, I instead used vintage ink to give her more of a skin tone coloring to the wood.

She’s still not what I want in a Hitty, but she sure is prettier than my Cadaver Hitty!  I absolutely love this one.

She is named Velma, after my grandmother who tried to teach me the meaning of “Patience is a virtue”.  I see now, that patience can be very rewarding indeed!
