My 26th Hitty

My 26th Hitty is made from Paulownia wood and is currently on eBay for adoption.    She was also carved completely with a knife, without the use of the dremel.   She is exactly 6 5/8 inches tall, and was sealed with tung oil.She is my second Paulownia Hitty to date, and I think that I truly do not like Paulownia wood.  I’ve tried Paulownia with dremel, and knife, and I’m just not very pleased with how it carves with either tool.  I think in the future, I will continue using basswood as my prefered soft wood.

She was still a joy to create, and I absolutely love how her complextion turned out with the tung oil finish.  I am beginning to really like tung oil as a varnish, and will probably stick with it as my main varnish from here on out.
