Meet Maggie, My Third And Newest Hitty Doll

Maggie is my latest Hitty doll.  She looks older than Velma, and also looks as if she has chewing gum in her cheek but I am very pleased and proud of this one.

I originally messed her face up so bad with my carving that I thought she was going to have to be thrown away.  I kept working on her face, and this is how she was born.  Her nose and mouth are not exactly centered, but who cares, she looks more realistic to me this way and I truly do love how she turned out.

I named her Maggie after my Irish Great Grandmother Ms. Maggie Bethune because nanny always tried to teach me that there is beauty in everyone and everything that God has created.  This Hitty is a prime example of her teaching, that beauty can be found in anything, even when one makes many mistakes in life.
