Meet Cadaver, My First Hitty

After many years of wanting my own Hitty and many years of getting outbidded at the last minute on eBay, I decided to try my hand at carving my own Hitty.

I went to the lumber yard, got some spruce wood, and gave it a try.

As you can see, my first attempt was somewhat pathetic lol.

When I showed her to my father-in-law (I had to borrow his carving knife and he wanted to see what I had carved), he said “Well golly she looks like a Cadaver”.

So she is now named Cadaver, and my 4 year old daughter has adopted her as her own Hitty.  She gets the clothing that I mess up on when sewing for my Hittys, and is acquiring a very large wardrobe lol.

Even tho she isn’t the prettiest doll on the planet,  she has brought a lot of smiles to the family and has her own special kind of charm.
