Introducing Hitty Gale

Hitty Gale is my 27th Hitty and my last Hitty for 2009.  I absolutely love how she turned out, although I can’t take all the credit for her birth.  I signed up to take an online carving class offered by Ms. Gale Lyons who carves the Island Hittys and Hitty Gale was born by me following the class instructions.Gale’s instructions were easy to understand and easy to follow.  I love how Hitty Gale (named after Ms. Lyons of course) turned out.  Hitty Gale is very pleased to join the Merry Happy Hittys family.

Hitty Gale is made of basswood, and was carved mostly with a knife.  I did use the dremel for shaping her hair and to sand her.
