Hitty Living Room

I’ve had a lot of fun decorating the Merry Happy Hittys living room.   The living room has taken longer than I anticipated to get it “habitable” because I was having a difficult time finding furniture for it.  It’s nowhere near completed, I plan to make a sofa and coffee table still, as well as make some pictures to hang on the walls.

So far I have stuccoed the ceiling, placed molding around the edge of the ceiling, glued vinyl on the walls for a “mini wallpaper” effect and used velvet upholstery fabric to carpet the living room.

The chairs and small table were made following a tutorial and class provided by Julie Old Crow.  The miniature flower was a gift from a friend, the “rug” is actually a beach towel I received in the Hitty Girls play clothes swap and the Hittys pet cat is a bar of soap given to Hitty Dot by my 8 year old daughter.  Isn’t the cat so sweet and doesn’t it make a wonderful Hitty Pet?

Here’s a photo of the three main rooms of the Merry Happy Hitys home.  The attic is not pictured because right now it’s just used for sorage, it’ll be the last room decorated.
