My newest Hitty is made of basswood and is currently listed for sale on eBay. She stands 6 3/8″ tall. I am very pleased with how she turned out and am delighted with how smooth she ended up.
Ms. Michelle Best recently gave me some sanding tips and so I wanted to try them on basswood, and I must say the end results turned out fabulous!

Hitty Michelle was carved by Ms. Best, and I can only dream that one day I may be able to carve such sweet and endearing Hittys as she.
